Paper is a birdhouse inspired by the forms made with folded paper, the birdhouse is built with angles that direct water during heavy rain to the back then under and through the front of the house to create a waterfall effect.
The central body of the birdhouse is constructed with 3/4" plywood for strength and insulation. The exterior is made with 1/4" plywood and is painted white to prevent overheating. The interior is left unpainted with a hinged door to allow access for cleaning.
Scale model to evaluate the form - The blue tape shows how rain water could be channeled to the back of the birdhouse and out the front.
